Kids Jiu Jitsu in Turlock, CA
Our kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program in Turlock runs Tuesday through Thursday at 5pm for ages 6 to 14. Classes build coordination, confidence, and self-control through games, drills, and age-appropriate technique — including practical anti-bullying skills that work without throwing a punch. Discipline and respect are taught on the mat and expected off it.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gives children a way to practice staying calm, working with a partner, and solving a physical problem one step at a time. At Makoto, games and drills introduce age-appropriate technique while reinforcing respect and self-control. Children practice practical anti-bullying skills without relying on punches.
Choosing a class for your child
Our kids Gi program is for ages 6 through 14, including children who have never trained in martial arts. Each class lasts 50 minutes. A free trial lets your child experience the training and gives your family a chance to see whether the academy and evening schedule fit your routine.
Getting ready for the first visit
Request a trial before coming in so we can help schedule your child’s first class. No prior experience or purchased uniform is needed for the trial: we provide a loaner Gi. Arrive ten minutes early in athletic clothing without zippers or pockets, and let us know if you have questions about your child starting.
